BorderConexion
About

I made this move too. That’s why BorderConexion exists.

I’m Eunice Rosado-Almanzar. In 2025, my partner and I — and our two dogs — made the journey from the United States to Spain, and Marbella became home. BorderConexion grew out of that journey.

Moving to Spain taught me what no checklist does: the paperwork is only half of it. There were consulate requirements to decode, documents to apostille and translate, appointments that seemed impossible to get, two dogs to bring safely across the Atlantic, and then the real work of arriving — the padrón, the bank, healthcare, learning how things are actually done here.

I didn’t want to live in Spain as a visitor. I wanted to belong. So I put down roots: I became part of the community in Marbella, I registered and work here as an autónoma, I’m back in the classroom at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, and I’m completing the official Máster en Gestión Administrativa (2026–27) — the route to colegiación as a Gestora Administrativa — so I can serve people here properly.

I know what it feels like to sit across the desk at an extranjería office, holding a folder and hoping it’s complete. I built BorderConexion so you don’t have to hope.

Before Spain, I spent more than twenty years in legal and compliance at JPMorgan Chase: front-line sanctions screening, KYC and enhanced due diligence, regulatory change, policy, governance committees, audits and exams, across the US, EMEA and APAC. That career taught me to read the rules closely, build the evidence and never miss a deadline.

BorderConexion brings those two halves together. My first-hand experience of making the move, and a professional discipline built for regulated work. I want the people who come after me to arrive prepared, understand every step in their own language, and feel at home sooner than I did.
